The executive committee of the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale has come to the difficult decision to cancel this year's sale. In lieu of a sale, other plans are being made and will be announced in the coming weeks. Please continue to pray for Mennonite Central Committee in this uncertain time of event cancellations and thrift store closures.
Support MCC and it's centennial year by donating to the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale.
Now in its 41st year, the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale is organized annually by over 20 Mennonite and other Anabaptist churches in Iowa. Volunteers work year-round on the planning for the auctions, farmer’s market, entertainment, children’s activities, meals, and food specialities. The relief sale is a means of raising funds to support Mennonite Central Committee now in its 100th year of operation. Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is a nonprofit charitable organization that works in more than
60 countries in the areas of relief, development, and peace. From February through November, 44 relief sales will be held in 21 US states and 5 Canadian provinces. |
